Art Center Nabi is pleased to present the exhibition Unseen City by Dirk Koy. The exhibition introduces Zurich 2.0, an immersive installation composed of 360-degree video and VR experience where the physical city in reality is reconstructed in the virtual space as a fragmented and fluid space.

In recent years, 360-degree video and virtual reality have become new formats for contents creation and appreciation that maximize the audience experience. Both 360-degree video and virtual reality are realized beyond the traditional structure and format of video where the single-sided screen is seen only through one perspective. By enabling multi-perspective appreciation, virtual reality makes it possible for the viewers to recognize their surroundings in the virtual environment and actively experience an artwork through interaction with the virtual environment.

The title Zurich 2.0 indicates the city of Zurich realized as a mixture of the virtual and the real. Captured through the technology of photogrammetry, the city in Zurich 2.0 goes through the repetition of generation and division by fragmented image pieces. The interactive 360-degree projection and virtual reality will expand new artistic senses and perception in the dreamy urban landscape that constantly flows over the screen.
